This has led to a rise in C-sections because doctors are simply not prioritising them and are not offering women effective support for a planned “free” birth. The number of C-sections has grown from 18% of the total number of births in 1997 to 34% in 2007 – a rise of 80% in that period. They are now rising in some areas at a rate of over 40% a year.

    I have a simple PHP script, that I need to convert to postgreSQL.
    The function being called must return all the values of a table called occurrences in this format:
    [0, 0, 0, 0, 0, 0] [1, 1, 1, 1, 1, 1] [1, 1, 1, 1, 1, 1] [2, 2, 2, 2, 2, 2] [3, 3, 3, 3, 3, 3] [3, 3, 3, 3, 3, 3] [4, 4, 4, 4, 4, 4]

    My code goes like this:

    $old_occ = $old_occ+$previous_occ;

    return $old_occ;
    }

    I’m guessing the answer is simple, but I’ve had no luck.
    The table schema is as follows:
    CREATE TABLE occurrences(
    name varchar(10) NOT NULL,
    timestamp bigint NOT NULL,
    spot int NOT NULL
    );

    A:

    First, it needs to be returned as an array of arrays. That is one array with a number of elements, which then contain arrays.
    If you need to add 0,0,0,0,0,0, to your previous occurrence you can do that with your code above:
    function calculateOcurrences($db, $previous_occurrence) {
    $old_occ = array(0,0,0,0,0,0);
    $old_occ = $old_occ+$previous_occ;

    return array($old_occ);
    }

    If you actually want to add the arrays together you could use array_merge, but you shouldn’t do that if you can help it as it is really bad.

    Update
    Based on your comment below, you need to add the array to your original array and return it as a single array. This is not so easy, but in your case can be
