    The way NIS America mixes old school style gameplay with vast tech-meets-RPG combat set pieces is impeccable.

    The story is the clear highlight and I’m looking forward to exploring the world of the Lands Between.

    The first day of school goes in a rush, and none of the teachers know what’s happening. This is a Mystery, a Hidden Object Puzzle Adventure. The twist is, the main character is dead, or…we don’t know yet. The story is a blatant bastardization of the popular Netflix show Mindhunter and it just fits so well in my mind. I wish I could say it feels like a spiritual successor to Twin Mirror, but that is not the case. It is a Danganronpa DS game and you will be teased and confused for the first half of the story.

    The story is through and through TV show, and nothing more. Everything about the writing and the characters feels so derivative of something else and so bland, its like eating a truffle that was dipped in Tide Pods instead of something that is more flavorful and novel.

    Gameplay, on the other hand, is totally awesome, with a mix of old school JRPG mechanics and action-RPG parts. The combat is very reminiscent of Dark Souls, and as much as I love Dark Souls, I think NIS America balanced things out very well. I haven’t had this much fun with combat in a long time, and I attribute it to the focus on the action-RPG parts of combat. The shooting is satisfying, and the dodging plays out exceptionally well.

    The game uses the premise of “knowing” things to move through the story. Some rooms you have to solve the puzzle, others you just have to memorize them and be good at timing your

    In the “Blossoms” event diary, there’s text from the ex-GamePro NintendoWeekly (spam, I’m sorry) stating he paid out anybody who could prove they got the Achievement. The only problem is, anybody who went to the thread got banned. I could get the DDDR-EURO II, but I kinda wanted to keep this thread clean (I wanted to keep this thread clean?) so someone else could get the Achievement. I hate this, no lie.

    I would agree that this thread is indeed ‘clean’ enough for one single Achievement.

    But I myself achieved this Achievement. I also have a PS2, and I’ve gotten it by using a firmware dump and HENkaku, so I see no problem with providing you guys a complete step-by-step on how to get this goddamn Achievement, PS2 owner or no PS2 owner. No adware on any of the links used by this thread, and the guy who provides each of the links, is also trusted by me. And you know who he is: Naxat, aka Tatsu, aka the DDDR-EURO chap.

    Now I have the password of the game’s exe. So hop to it, and enjoy the Achievement.

    Bro, look at the date. When you do that you’ll see that we’re already in the middle of a “banned” event. Link above is from end of July – whatever month this post will have been done when this thread becomes “banned”.

    Also, its no problem, trust me, I should have been thinking about this a lot more.
