Based on a theme of hope, the Music: The Bright Memory: Infinite Soundtrack was composed by composer and songwriter Jeff Rona (God of War: Ascension, God of War: Ghost of Sparta, God of War 3, 300) and composer and lyricist Cody Matthew Johnson (Resident Evil 2, Resident Evil 4) in celebration of bringing the original concept of the original God of War comic book to the God of War series. Each song (featuring Jeff Rona on piano and Cody Matthew Johnson on vocals) has been written as a tribute to a certain character from the original comic book.
The Bright Memory: Infinite Soundtrack also features additional tracks from the band A Touch of Class (Paradox), featuring Shawn Lee on vocals.A Touch of Class is a British Indie rock band from the North East of England who have released one album, Luxury Tax, via Sony Masterworks Records in 2004. Two of their songs were featured in God of War 3 (“God” and “The Game”), and two of them were covered for the Japanese bonus disc of the Japanese version of the game (“Mummified” and “Laying on of Hands”). The band is currently signed to Blackout Records.
As each song is intended to carry its own meaning, it should work as an enjoyable listen for fans old and new.
Players that own God of War III will be able to redeem this soundtrack by accessing the game’s “God of War III: The Soundtrack” downloadable content.

“The Spider and the Fly,” by Jack London, was published in 1907 and followed the adventures of Japhra, a wolf, and Iron-tooth, a panther. The first chapter begins with a young man in Laramie, Wyoming, awaiting the lynching of criminals on the scaffold. He turns out to be Japhra, but finds it hard to believe he has killed anybody and blames his woes on drink and weakness. Then he is approached by a beggar who promises to show him “the Spider and the Fly,” but who proves to be a man in disguise. Japhra at length finds out that his misfortunes are due to the murder of a sheriff by concealed criminal methods, and the name of the man whom he seeks as his friend and mentor.

The story was a part of a cycle of tales entitled “The Sea Wolf,�
