What are the types of drawing files in AutoCAD?
A drawing is a drawing file. It is the file in which you create design objects, symbols, dimensions, and other drawings. In AutoCAD, you can create different types of drawings, including a 2D AutoCAD drawing, 3D drawing, DWG, DXF, etc. You can also insert graphics into your drawings to add color, images, or other images to your drawings. The best way to get started with AutoCAD is to first create a new drawing.

What are symbols?

Diagrams, with different diagram elements that can be linked together to create complex diagrams
Dimensions, which can be used for representing measurements
Drawings in AutoCAD are viewed differently depending on their type. 2D drawings show up in a 2D view, while 3D drawings are viewed in a 3D view.
2D drawings
2D drawings are used to represent the 2D design of your work. A 2D drawing is created by drawing a set of lines, arcs, rectangles, polygons, ellipses, and other geometrical shapes and symbols. You can place different 2D drawings on a 2D page, like 2D paper, that is similar to a regular sheet of paper. You can also set a border around a 2D drawing. In addition, you can create a new 2D drawing or open an existing one.
If you open a 2D drawing, then you are viewing it in a 2D drawing view, which looks similar to 2D paper. If you save a 2D drawing, you can save it in a.DWG file. However, if you want to make your 2D drawing more complex, then you can convert it into a 3D drawing.

Since then, it has been offered as a stand-alone version or as part of a suite of products (AutoCAD 2007 and AutoCAD LT are both offered as part of AutoCAD 2009). It has approximately a 1:1 price ratio to AutoCAD and was meant to appeal to the CAD industry’s most modest budget CAD users. The company has since taken steps to broaden the customer base.
AutoCAD LT was based on the same underlying source code as AutoCAD, but lacked the full set of AutoCAD features. It was described by industry analysts as a “poor man’s AutoCAD”. AutoCAD LT was compatible with both AutoCAD 2000 and AutoCAD LT 2000. Unlike AutoCAD, AutoCAD LT is not available for non-Windows platforms. AutoCAD LT 2007 was compatible with earlier versions.
