Toggleable Secret Chest

Trouble in movement of camera through game engine using 3D Player
I am trying to move camera through a 3D world I am rendering on the game engine using 3D Player (GLSL geometry shader)
I am using gluLookAt to calculate the camera angle and direction but I am finding difficulties in the movement of the camera.
I know it should be following some sort of Eulerian coordinates but I am not able to implement the same.
I am trying to run a test case where the camera starts from some arbitrary point and should try to move to some other arbitrary point (same 3D space).
My method to do so is as follows:
