the first game in the series (which is only a platformer) was available for sale in france, germany, italy, spain and uk through retail in 2001. the rayman cd came in a keep-case with no manual, and a major blunder no music tracks whatsoever. local releases of rayman in other countries do not suffer from this problem, to the best of my knowledge.
the gameplay of rayman has been criticized for its limited and repetitive nature; you do not have any weapons, you are a guy in a bulbous, all-white suit who can run, jump and climb; you can only punch/kick/bash your way through the levels, and the levels are mostly not that difficult. as you can pass through walls, you can easily solve puzzles, and you can run over hazards. but you will also encounter many obstacles, and the first level is a chore to get through. as you get past level 1, the game gets slightly easier, and you will see why it is worth playing. the difficulty is near-perfect for an 8-bit game, and a great introduction to the series. the controls are very intuitive, and it is incredibly fun.
another bad point is that you can only play the game in first-person view. the third-person perspective actually works better in rayman origins, due to the added ability to move freely in the environment.
the game was an international success, and spawned a couple of sequels, the third of which, rayman 3: hoodlum havoc, was released in 2003. it was a major improvement on the gameplay, graphics and difficulty, as well as the music. the story was even better, taking place in a different world and involving a different main character. it also included new hazards, such as health bars, score bonuses, difficulty settings, and a multiplayer mode. it includes the same “jump and kick” gameplay that was in rayman.

The Exchange Online data center expansion in Richland is on track to be completed by the end of March, Microsoft said Tuesday.
