*#48194 : malformed link for woocommerce files file.update.php – by joa.kintillag and james_m_c this will be merged into trunk for a moment – not because of security, but because we want to have them, for them, and it’s the same case for extensions and themes.
*#47896 : quicktag – by sytelov – new conditional installation of the quicktag plugin. – changed the installation paths of the quicktag plugin to account for wordpress 4.3.0 and the removal of remote plugin directories – activated the plugin when it is not activated already and added some small bugfixes, but moved it to a new location to fix the installation
*#47886 : ultraweblogin – by brf – converted a woocommerce standard filter for the checkout page to work with wc_post_type_checkout_form instead – although it’s usually cleaner and simpler to just use wcpt classes, it allows woocommerce to be used w/o necessarily needing wp 4.3-compat.
it has been a pleasure and an honor to be on the joomla wg, and i’d like to point out that the community-driven projects like sodium and others, along with authors like kevin ruland, ixxekd and others, do a great job creating useful open source code.
along the way i have come to appreciate it as well — or maybe i’ve just come to value the ideas i’ve implemented in the course of the project. anyhow, i think the biggest lesson i’ve come to appreciate is that the framework of software development, as described in the unix philosophy, can be re-used in the pursuit of other goals. the principles of abstraction, modularization, common denominators, interfaces, documentation and sustainability are as relevant in code as they are in other projects. so i’d like to look at the in-depth explanation provided by scott jeschonek on his blog and compare it to some of the principles of wordpress development that i’ve recently adopted.
