What’s New in the RFSTOOL?
￭ Server mode: the RFple server must be running in order to run RFSTOOL. This makes RFpossible to run ReFS tools from a Win98 machine on a networked server.
￭ User mode: You can run RFSTOOL in user mode and list the ReFS directories. This is much slower, due to the extra processing time to use ReFS drivers to access the raw partition data.
￭ Auto detect: RFSTOOL will automatically detect whether a ReiserFS partition is read-only or read/write. The detection process will load or unload the needed ReiserFS drivers, based on the response from the ReiserFS driver. This might slow down the detection process.
￭ Supported Operating Systems: Windows NT, 2000, XP.
How to use:
￭ Start the tool: Press the button “Start” to start the tool.
￭ List directories: The folder “C:\ReFS” should already be available. Type any name in “Main Folder”, and select “List folder”. This will list the directories present in “C:\ReFS”.
￭ List files: Type any name in “Main Folder” and select “List files”. This will list the files present in “C:\ReFS”.
￭ Access files: Type any name in “Main Folder” and select “Open file”. This will open a folder which contains the file of the same name in “C:\ReFS”.
