When working with the layers window, your main concern is to figure out which layer you want to edit, and then where in that layer you want to make the edit.
Starting with an image as the canvas
When you start creating and editing an image in Photoshop, the start point is the canvas. A canvas is a blank canvas with no image — it is an empty, blank space on the screen that represents the document where you can apply the effects you want. (You can read more about canvases in Chapter 5.)
Initially when you load the image into Photoshop, the image appears on a new layer named a `Canvas` layer (see Figure 2-1). The new layer appears directly on top of the picture (if there is only one layer on the layer stack) or on top of the current layer, which is used to edit. If you need to create a new layer, choose Image New Layer. If you want to delete a layer, choose Layer Remove Layer or press Ctrl+D.
Photoshop enables you to create two kinds of layers:
• User layers — Layers you create to group together different aspects of your image. You make these layers for organizing and naming your photos so you can keep track of the different effects you apply.
• Artboard layers — These layers are used to group pictures on the canvas (see the next section for more on using artboards).

Because you’re working on a new layer, you can edit only the image on the layer. If you want to include another layer on the canvas, such as a `Line` layer, you need to create a new layer first. (See Chapter 6 for more about layers.)
Getting started in the Layers panel
Although Photoshop enables you to create as many layers as you want on a canvas, you don’t have to use layers. If you work in a straightforward manner and apply layers from top to bottom, you can’t easily edit between layers.
Although a beginner may not need to create layers, many users have found the convenience of layers in Photoshop valuable. You can create your own or load one of the many premade layers into the Layers panel. You can also create a custom made layer.
Using the Layers panel is also handy for creating and organizing the image, and for doing basic editing and even some color

It’s the “low-end,” plain-vanilla way to create and edit images using the computer. It’s less powerful than Photoshop, but it’s affordable and gives you plenty of tools to create or edit images with.

Featherweight
My new toy is the Holosun VP7. It’s just a nice little semi-auto rifle, and a great alternative to the Sig Sauer P220 with its weight, precision, and more comfortable trigger. But for this review, I went for the.223 only. This has a 9-round magazine, but after that you are limited by the maximum length of the barrel.
Again, I think this is as comfortable as a.45-caliber handgun. It has a good trigger, and it’s easy to handle with one hand. But in a one-handed corner, this isn’t as good as the Holosun VS2. The VP7, while having a solid feel, doesn’t really compete with the VS2.
That being said, I like this gun and I’m looking forward to use it.

Choosing the right firearm for each task is more than simply picking the best gun. It requires careful planning and knowing your firearm as well as you know your body. There are many guns out there that are good for an 8-hour workday, but if you want a comfortable one-handed gun with good accuracy and controllability, you should take a closer look at the Holosun VS2.

I’ve just started to learn python and I have been told to autogenerate file extensions (by which I mean the.html,.csv,.js, etc.) from.html to.html
