BackGrounder is a lightweight Windows application built specifically for helping you scale and trim images in only a few steps.
Simplistic layout
It sports a clean and simple layout that offers only a few dedicated parameters to tinker with. Everything is kept as simple and clear as possible, so even rookies can master the entire process with minimum effort.
Basic functionality
BackGrounder gives you the possibility to add pictures into the working environment using the built-in browse button, so you cannot rely on “drag and drop” operations. It works with a single file format, namely JPG, and the resized photos can be exported to the same file format.
You can view the images in the primary panel and resize items by specifying the x and y coordinates.
The lack of configurable settings makes it an ideal tool for rookies who don’t want to spend a lot of time configuring the dedicated parameters. However, it would have been useful to see support for different file formats that can be scaled or trimmed.
During our testing we have noticed that BackGrounder carries out the process very quickly. As it would be expected from such a small utility, it remains light on system resources, so it doesn’t hamper computer performance, nor interfere with other programs’ functionality.

To sum things up, BackGrounder offers a simple software solution when it comes to helping you scale and trim images. It can be easily installed and configured by all types of users, regardless of their experience level.

I’ve always wondered whether to put an ad here. Well, I guess I have to. While this is my original work, it has been around since 2011. But, I don’t have the time to update and maintain it. And it’s really kind of late in the game to be doing this. But, I’m proud of the time and money I’ve spent on it, so I’ll put it on here.
This was done in 2008 by my friend Chris in Germany (He’s behind “Android Enthusiast”), and we called it “The Bare Minimum”. It’s an app that tells you the bare minimum stuff you need to know to start an Android OS up. For example, it has a lot of info on how to get a SIM card, and how to get into the Settings menu.
So, for all those years, we never updated the app. We made all the updates and changed names of the apps, but we never did any of the stuff you see above. We never even added anything to the settings page. It’s kind of sad, but we didn’t feel like doing it.
However, I’ve come to accept that the world is changing, and people are in a hurry. So, we’ve decided to update the app. I had originally thought about calling it “The Bare Minimum”, but I’ve decided to keep it as “The Recommended Bare Minimum”. This should go out as a new app in the Play Store. I’ll try to keep it updated. If you use the existing app, I won’t be able to tell you how to get in there or what it’s called.

Useful tools

The best free tool I’ve found so far to remove background noise from an audio file is Reaktor. It has a small but useful set of effects you can apply to an audio file to make it more interesting. It also has a couple of presets that you can save and then recall at a later time.

We appreciate the efforts made by its creators to create an easy-to-use and user-friendly software application. However, we strongly believe that the application, while helping its user to process images efficiently, would have benefited from additional functionality.

How to download and install BackGrounder on your PC:

If you want to download BackGrounder for PC, you will need to perform the following:

Copy the download link from the bottom of this page and open it in a new tab in your browser.

Select the green Download button and save the file to your computer.

Now move the downloaded file to the location where you have unzipped your Bluestack. To do this, open File Explorer on your computer and then go to the location where the Bluestack program was unzipped. Select the Bluestacks folder from the location list. Go to the downloaded file in that folder.

Go to the folder where you saved the file in Step 1. Select the file and hit the Open button. The setup file will be opened in Notepad, as shown in the image above.
