this simulator is very easy to play. it is similar to a flight simulator. however, instead of flying an airplane, you are in the water. the goal is to complete the dive in an appropriate manner. in order to do so, you have to do the following:
- check the depth of the water
- avoid obstacles
- keep track of the time
- avoid triggering the “time out”
- avoid over-diving
- avoid taking an incorrect way
- avoid having too much gas in the tank
- avoid being too tired
as mentioned above, to make the game easier, you need to be able to monitor the time. the time is displayed on the top right hand corner. it will be displayed in real-time and it will be updated in accordance with your diving speed and the depth of the water.
deep diving simulator was developed in collaboration with the national oceanic and atmospheric administration (noaa) and is a deep-sea diving simulator designed to teach people about ocean survival skills in the most extreme conditions. the program allows the user to customize the virtual environment to explore the suitability of a particular dive location and the equipment needed for a mission. the program contains a comprehensive database of high-resolution satellite images from noaa’s geostationary operational environmental satellite (goes) program of various ocean areas around the world and has been updated with over 500,000 images taken between november 2012 and may 2013.
the download includes the deep diving simulator application and a desktop shortcut icon. the program can be run on computers that have microsoft windows xp (sp3 or later) or vista (sp2 or later) operating systems.
