Using live painting with a photo is a good way to quickly edit a photo but may be unappealing to the eye. In Chapter 5, I cover best methods for retouching photos.
The reason why you see a full-color image in the background is that Photoshop includes a layer containing the image’s background. Because you’re adjusting the photo in question, the layer will be masked. And because you have not clicked on the layer containing the background, your photo does not appear.
The Live Paint feature gives you many tools at your disposal to create a living, breathing and unique work of art. It’s also great for creating special effects, such as removing people from a photo, as I demonstrate in this section.
The following sections give you an overview of how to use Photoshop’s live painting tools to add an image to a photo.

PHP: long string not getting truncated, even with html_entity_decode()
PHP is supposed to truncate long strings and I am successfully using html_entity_decode() to do so. It works fine for short strings. If you copy the string below and paste into a PHP editor like Notepad++ it will work. It will also work on the command line. However, if I copy the full URL from the browser and paste it into PHP then it doesn’t work and the long string is not truncated. It seems that it just chooses to swallow the long string.
I am aware that this will likely have to do with browser settings since it happens only in the browser, but I am curious if anyone knows a way around this.
NOTE: There is currently a problem with the website and many of the images are not working in browsers. I do not know when this problem will be resolved.

Don’t use urldecode and htmlspecialchars. They are for converting into and back to “absolute” ASCII/unicode values, for the purpose of building URLs, for example.
HTML and URLs have different encodings, and they use other, incompatible rules for encoding. htmlspecialchars_decode and htmlspecialchars_encode
