AutoCAD does not currently support polygon or multi-point modeling. For that, you can use:

The latter can be achieved using a host of engineering applications, but those are not widely available in the marketplace.
In addition to modeling, AutoCAD allows for layout (viewing) and editing of drawings.
AutoCAD and AutoCAD LT are on the road to becoming open source products. But they are not yet open source.
AutoCAD Modeling and Editing
The modeling tools included in AutoCAD are intended to be used to create surface models for use in rendering. In this regard, they are similar to other CAD applications such as Microstation or AutoCAD 3D. However, AutoCAD also supports the creation of surfaces and solids in 3D.
The easiest way to think of the modeling tools is as a drafting application that supports three-dimensional creation, as opposed to a CAD application that supports two-dimensional creation.
The modeling tools included in AutoCAD are the 3D Modeling tools that are available in AutoCAD LT.

Why do high-end memory systems contain twice the DRAM chips as standard systems?
A friend is asking me about some really really high-end hardware that he’s considering.
It contains twice the number of memory chips than a standard system and it’s priced similarly.
He has a strong preference for AMD products but I would like to know if there are any reasons for doing this that I’m missing.

Because each “chipset” of the DRAM chips contains the memory-controller and at least a full amount of memory. Usually chipsets even contain memory controllers and cache.
A high-end CPU is usually more powerful than a standard system so it can cope with more memory traffic per second.
