Mixing quoted and unquoted strings in an array
I have a number of string arrays that are used for different reasons. In the first string array, I have a quoted string like so:
my_strings[1] = “Some text is “”here”
This is actually a serialized JSON string.
My second string array contains unquoted strings, like so:
my_strings[2] = “Another string”
I want to use some logic that will check to see if the array contains the quoted strings, and if it does, it will add a number at the beginning of each string.
For example, if my_strings[2] contained the quoted string “Some text is “, it would become:
my_strings[2] = “1:Some text is ”
The number 1 would be used to identify it as the first string of that array, and the string “Some text is ” would be the string itself.
This is what I have currently, but it doesn’t work because Python treats a string that is inside single quotes as a quoted string, so when the loop is checking to see if the string is quoted, it thinks it is.
