more realism here, and that’s good. only “simply” more realisim. besides that, it’s a nice, if not a little too simple, game. after all, this is a game made by westwood, the people who made command & conquer. the gameplay is quite basic, but for the most part, it’s a nice change of pace from the tedious tiberian sun. you can play the game on normal, easy or hard difficulty, and there are different kinds of units to choose from. you can even play against the computer or another player online. this is the first time in years that westwood has released a command & conquer title, and now theyve proven that they know how to do it right. command & conquer renegade isnt a bad little game, but it is certainly under-rated. if you are looking for something different, or perhaps even if you just want some good old-fashioned shooting, then command & conquer renegade is worth taking a look at. renegade is more than just a remake of the classic command & conquer game. here, there is a little more to it than just shooting at the enemy. renegade also has you going on missions and also fighting the nod. so i guess you could say that renegade isnt your average remake. renegade is a remake that brings you back to where the series started. so if you like the old command & conquer games, then youll definitely want to download renegade. check out renegade at www.gamerevolution.com. renegade is out now and you can get it for $19.95. renegade is now available on the playstation network. you can also find renegade at gamefly and amazon. so download renegade today and get the renegade that is worthy of the name.
1) create models, textures, and animation. 2) recruit people. 3) make a group of 3 to 4 awesome people get together and make a complete campaign. you can write the.. 4) create voice actors, and make them sound awesome with great story lines that will set.
renegade is riddled with a lot of other handy stuff, some of which may not feel like much, but many of which are so utterly crucial that they need to be singled out and wined and dined. the campaign missions and most of the objectives in the multiplayer game are timed, so you can simply complete them if you are that kind of person. but you can also watch the story unfold as you progress, but it doesnt actually tell you anything of what happens. you get to see the different character voice and music even if it doesnt make much sense – you get a few words to say who it is, with no story or anything, just enough so the public enemy of the week isnt bored. add to this the fact that you can drive/fly in the campaign, and you will realise that renegade is everything i wanted in a c&c game. except perhaps the best thing, the one thing that everyone agrees is the best thing, that being the way of living you would have gotten if c&c hadnt been such a pisser.
take the empire out of the game and you have c&c. it sounds like a fair result, but where it does actually fall down is that it does not have a single-player campaign. the first command and conquer had one, the second command & conquer only had one, and the first command and conquer renegade only had one. allowing players to play the game without any interjection from a voice acting this instead leaves you with your one very funny voice over the game to kind of fill in the bits which are lacking, for it is not a game, it is a video, and making it a video game removes alot of the charm and makes you wonder why the designers bothered with it in the first place. when i had played the second command and conquer the voice acting was so professional you would have thought they had spent the first part of their adult life planning everything. even now, the voice over contains enough emotion to make it worth it. its like one of the twilight movies, even though none of the dialogue is particularly funny or clever, but its the whole experience that is entertaining. the same cannot be said for the way you get to watch the story unfold in renegade. you do get to see the characters and the world they live in, but it is of the disney variety, in a way that they are cute, but in a way that theres not much meat on the bones, and that is disappointing to me. whereas the original cast was if anything even more understated, and didnt so much as make you feel there was something exciting going on. in part this is because they were just so damned cool, and there was no need to make them any more awesome than they already were. and then, it is also because its a video game and not a movie.
