In both Crysis 1 and 2, we were deeply involved in shaping the world, and we have had to endure both the deepest darkness as well as the darkest light. Thanks to our partner EA, Crysis 3 is coming out in 4k – and for PC gamers that is nothing but great news. Only a few months after Crytek gained back the rights to its intellectual property, Crysis 3 is about to hit the shelves. It will be available for all digital PC platforms on February 23. And because of the success of Crysis 2, the game will be published on the same day for PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360. The downloadable version is currently available via Steam!

If you do not know me, you are on the right track. My name is Daniel Heart, I am a developer at Crytek. And I am glad to let you know that, because I have been working with the guys behind Crysis 2 at EA to develop the next installment of the franchise, which we are calling Crysis 3.

The game is set in the year 2047, where the military in the United States needs to evacuate a large number of civilians after a new biological weapons attack.

With Crysis 3, we strive to be on the cutting edge of technological innovation, creating a truly dynamic open-world and pushing visual fidelity and gameplay to new heights.
