I found this solution and it works just fine, however it seems to require the use of the original config files now. The files are located at /etc/openvif/jinitiator/byhwui/bin/. To get the config files use the script -> /etc/init.d/openvif.service enable bin
I have a problem with version 1.3.1.10 (misleadingly named 1.3.1.10) of this software. It seems to be incompatible with Tomcat 5.5 on Ubuntu Linux, so I am trying to figure out what to do about it. Looking at the symbolic links that are the actual links to the jar file, it looks like the versions that caused the problem on this server are 1.3.1.7 and 1.3.1.14. They do not work.
@Marcelo Again I have tried this and it is not working. If Oracle want to provide a solution, I will be glad to buy it for our users. I am told the only way to get support for Oracle is to use 32 bit and that US$60+ is a prohibitive fee.
@DavidThank you for your help. Installing the jinitiator to the “Binhotspot” directory didn’t have any problems. As expected, the “confirm.bat” failed. Is there any chance I could get the “confirm.bat” to work and please can you help me with a screenshot of what it should contain and also from where it resides on my hard drive.
