Was considering:Winmutt, but decided against it since I also use a image viewer, in addition to this (and many other apps) (I just learned about tumbru). But I really do like the’message viewer’ look and it is nice that I can get my gifs by putting them in any directory.

I think the main advantage is the large number of configurable options. I just set up JMC to give me the right directory when I switch back to my main file browser.
