this is important because one of the primary changes in the pro version is a substantial upgrade in texture memory, with the ability to support a deeper slate of textures. that upgrade allows the developers to go into detail with some types of materials, creating effects like the various “pop” effects on the walls and the way the light bounces off some of the items. sometimes when a game looks good, its because it takes advantage of this technology. however, there are other times when the new visuals might just be an example of flashy graphics and no substance.
the pro version has been optimized for performance, and you can tell the difference when compared to a standard playstation 4. but the ability to go higher in resolution is nice. for a game whose biggest visual features are things like the sunlight bouncing off the walls in the larger platforms, the micro details that make this world look alive and believable are less important in a video game. im not sure how much enjoyment the standard ps4 can offer in comparison to pro and i highly doubt any other game can afford the level of fidelity produced by knack, but pro can produce high quality 2d images in much higher resolution than the standard hardware. in short, pro is the answer for the visuals of knack.

i first started to think about making a fun game like this when i found my huge pile of action figures and action figures accessories in my closet. when i was a kid, i would play action figures, make pretend worlds for my miniature figures to live in, and i would invent systems that my figures would fight to defend the kingdoms i made for them.
and, of course, ive always thought of myself as the kind of person who would make a video game. this was always a passion of mine that ive never really put any time into but finally have the chance to make.
im glad i have the chance to share my love of gaming with everyone. im so excited to release knack on november 29, but in the meantime, if youre looking for something really fun to play in this holiday season, i cant recommend knack enough.
like i said, youll find your collection of items automatically appear in the game, but youll also have the ability to add your own if you want to. we have a lot of rooms for you to find and explore and an endless number of items to find. youll be surprised by how many different items you can find and unlock. for example, there is a device in the game called a thunderbolt, and we created a room called thunderbultons attic where youll be able to find several of these.
