This is a full Unicode version of Notepad.
The Unicode is a Japanese evolution of the Western European notepad (MS Notepad 7.0 + some Unicode and memory leak fixes).
The aim of this application was to support as many as possible of the Japanese text fonts as Unicode that I use.
The application itself also supports Kanji text and Japanese Hiragana (The ASCII versions are not included).
I am aware of the fact that Unicode standard contains much more than Kanji but Unicode (2.0 version) has not been updated for a year and a half now and they are still fixing the ever growing bugs and problems.
This application includes a full Unicode version of Notepad 6.0 plus some small bugs fixing. It fully supports Kanji and Hiragana.
The only missing functions are japanese-to-kanji, kanji-to-japanese and the Unicode Hex notation file viewer.

It doesn’t support Unicode (ISO 2022), because it is mostly written in COBOL and CP/M.
