Stanley, Old Dominion University, U.S. Available at Amazon.com.The present invention relates to an organic compound for an electrophotographic photoreceptor and an electrophotographic photoreceptor using the organic compound, more specifically, to an organic compound for an electrophotographic photoreceptor which shows excellent in electrophotographic characteristics such as sensitivity, residual potential, and charging properties and in storage stability under a high temperature and humidity condition, and an electrophotographic photoreceptor which is excellent in storability, corona ion resistance, mechanical strength, and weather resistance.
In general, an electrophotographic photoreceptor is required to have the following characteristics:
(1) its electrostatic characteristics are good,
(2) its triboelectric charging characteristics are good,
(3) its carrier transfer characteristics are good,
(4) its sensitivity is high,
(5) it has a long charge retaining time,
(6) it has a high residual potential,
(7) it can maintain a good quality image without fatiguing to reduce the image density after repeated use,
(8) its transferability is high,
(9) its durability against a repeated use is good,
(10) it is easy to handle, and
(11) it is inexpensive.
