You also have a number of options for what type of file to create. You can import existing images, capture from the Web, capture from a file, use a live image feed, or create a new image from scratch.
You can capture from digital cameras, video, scanners, or other sources such as scanning services that enable you to capture a source image and then use it as your image in Photoshop.
**NOTE** Depending on the original shooting mode used, you may not have much editing control over the initial capture. Keep this in mind when reading the comments in the upper left of the Capture menu.

The Import menu enables you to capture images from other sources, including those that are outside the scope of Photoshop. The Import button at the bottom right enables you to choose from a number of sources of images to import. You have the option to choose Capture, Camera Raw, and other legacy RAW file types. You can also use Photoshop’s File Transfer service to upload images directly into a Photoshop document.

Let’s get started with Photoshop.
I use Photoshop CS5 but this tutorial will work for Photoshop CC as well.
Step 1:
First, you need a picture or a graphic that you want to edit.
In this tutorial, I will create a 4,16,64,128,256,512,1024,2048 pixel wide Discord flag with a transparent background.
Step 2:
1. Duplicate the image or graphics 2 times (Ctrl+J). 3. Rename the image or graphic’s name to something easy to remember (in this tutorial, the title of the image/graphic is ‘flag’) 4. Now, drag the images or graphics to the side.
Make sure the images or graphics are aligned on the left or on the right, but don’t use the alignment option for the top or the bottom (you can also align the image with the “Align two or more objects”) 5.
Keep in mind that the images or graphics will be resized to whatever size you provide. The images or graphics are not resized immediately.
Step 3:
Once you have resized the image or graphics and you are satisfied with their size, save them (File > Save). 6. Now, let’s make the Discord flag. 6.1. Open the flag image or the graphic image you saved in the previous step, either by double clicking it or by clicking the “Open/Open with” menu option and choose Photoshop from the drop-down menu. 6.2. Go to the Layers panel (Window > Layers) 7. Now, select the top layer by double clicking it or by right-clicking and choose “Create a new layer” 8. Next, change the layer’s name from ‘flag’ to ‘background’ by double clicking it or by right-clicking and choosing the layer name. 9. Now, select the foreground color of the layer by clicking the colour square to the right of it (if you hover over it, a pop-up menu will appear).
