Image editing involves selecting and combining different layers and channels and moving, cropping, and adjusting the tone and contrast of the images. It’s important to be familiar with how to use the tools.
When you first begin to use Photoshop, you may not understand how it works or use it in the most efficient way. But as you continue using it, you’ll find the tools for image editing so easy to use.
Photoshop features four editing tools:
• Image correction tools
• Color correction tools
• Adjustment tools
• Selection tools
The Image Correction Tools
The next group of tools is the Image Correction Tools. These tools are applied when you use the Image Correction dialog box, which appears when you click the Filter button on the main toolbar, as shown in Figure 3-7.

In this chapter, I discuss how to use the following five Photoshop image editing tools:
Brighten (Image ▶⇒Adjustments ▶Brighten).
Contrast (Image ▶⇒Adjustments ▶Contrast).
Curves (Image ▶⇒Adjustments ▶Curves).
Levels (Image ▶⇒Adjustments ▶Levels).
Reduce Noise (Image ▶⇒Adjustments ▶Reduce Noise).
The Color Correction Tools
The next group of tools is the Color Correction Tools. These tools are applied when you use the Color Correction window. This window appears when you click the Panel button on the main toolbar, and an icon for the Color Correction panel appears on the right side of the Layers panel. You can activate it from the Layers panel or from the menus. Photoshop offers a lot of tools for you to use to change the appearance of your images. The Color Correction panel offers 16 presets that you can apply to your images automatically. You can apply these presets by clicking the Convert to Profile button. However, this feature is not recommended for beginners. It’s better for experienced photographers who may have several profiles for the various lighting and shooting conditions.
The next table lists the available tools in the Color Correction panel.

Features of the software include importing and editing RAW images, image stabilization, a creative canvas, editing filters and various editing effects.

Steps
Step 1
Import the images:
Select the image from the left hand panel and click the Import button. The file will be opened and you can import either a RAW image, or a JPEG image. The RAW images can be imported if you have the Adobe Camera RAW (ACR) plug-in installed. The plug-in allows you to edit RAW image files. You can also open a JPEG image and then open the RAW version of that image if you have the Adobe Camera Raw plug-in.
Step 2
Make the image editable:
Select the image. Click the Edit button on the toolbar and then choose the Edit tab to open the image’s properties.
Step 3
Insert text:
On the Edit menu, choose Text and then type the text. The text will be placed above the image. You can modify the size of the text by clicking the word “Type” in the font selection section.
Step 4
Insert text on an image:
Select the image and drag it above the canvas. Once you release the mouse button, a window will appear. Choose “Text” on the Edit menu and type the text.
Step 5
Locate the text:
Select the text and click the Select button on the toolbar. The text will be highlighted on the canvas. A box will appear around the text. You can use this box to resize the text or move it around the canvas.
Step 6
To select multiple objects, hold down the Shift key and select them.
Step 7
To select multiple objects, hold down the Ctrl key and select them.

In urine, the total radioactivity or parent compound accounted for about 50% of the administered dose, but in excreta the metabolites accounted for 95% of the radioactivity. The compounds were extensively metabolized, and both parent compound and metabolites were excreted in 24-h urine. The major metabolites of parent compound were mono- and di-conjugated forms, the total proportion of mono- and di-conjugated metabolites in 24-h excreta reaching 99-100%. The high proportion of conjugates was also observed in urine, suggesting that the conjugates were more bioavailable than their non-conjugated counterparts. Elimination half-lives were between 29 and 48 h, and excretion of radioactivity from 4 days treatment began before the end of the intake period.
