For example, if we’re taking Nier as our basis, I think that the game is more like Nier’s version of the new Playstation 4-era Heavy Rain than a more realistic and darker Heavy Rain. Now, Heavy Rain is an excellent game and Malefic had provided many characters and situations with a very cryptic and sad nature to him, so I don’t think that his take on Heavy Rain is incorrect, but if you compare the two games, I would say that the Lands Between has a more cosmic horror aesthetic compared to Heavy Rain.

Now, the second major draw for me is the main character. I think that Malefic has created a character where he shows us that fantasy doesn’t need to be this perfect and daedric figure that is drawn from
