Oh and by the way, i’m working on an internal Map Editor, called VCBuild right now. In less than two weeks the final Release of it should be released. This editor allows you to easily create maps, level editor, create game objects from templates, fetch and import maps, resolve and resolve conflicts (does just that), generate make files on build, record and save your gameplay session, and after that use the patching system.
But for the Beta branch of the game i’m trying to figure out an architectual layout, that i could start with and improve as needed. There will be some optimizing since the Ingame Menu will take quite a heavy amount of processing with all the tech that’s being used at this point.

A very promising and forward looking indie-platformer by a first-time developer that I look forward to seeing more of.
DEAD BUGS: No Surprises:
Overwatch has become a go-to title for me. I know what to expect from it.
Unstable:It just felt a bit barren. What with that being a first-time developer and all.
AND A CALLING: The following titles were high-lights for me on the PS4 this year.
Destiny 2: She did a great job creating the Destiny experience. The amount of polish and attention to detail in the game was unmatched.
Far Cry 5:An absolute lot of fun for me. The audio-visuals were excellent and the story was good. It just has a unique look to it that is fun to watch.
FIFA 17:I played FIFA for many years before getting into FIFA Ultimate Team mode. I just never got into the simulation-feel of it. FIFA 17 changed that. FIFA 17 has not aged as well as it should have. It really feels like an entry-level game. The controls are still done very well but it’s going to be out-dated very soon. For me, it was a short experience.
Fortnite:I like Fortnite. It’s a game that I will probably go back to a couple of times this year. It’s a great multiplayer experience and the graphics are really good.
Katawa Shoujo:An absolutely wonderful experience with a unique story, and a stunning art style. I’ve come to love this game.
MULDOON: The graphics were awesome. This was the second time I’ve played this game. The gameplay was good. It was a lot of fun. I even bought a few DLC characters. It was good to have a story with an interesting setting.

One of my personal favorite game genres, as I’ve mentioned before, is based around the economics of producing goods. From the moment I got into gaming, I’ve been actively seeking fun and interesting games that mix creativity and economics and as the latest RPG Tycoon has this, and a lot of other stuff, then I’m happy to add it to the RPG genre that I love.
I’d like to start from the beginning of the game and follow through on the decisions I make as the game progresses, but before that, let’s start with a brief recap (or a mini-post to that effect) of the more key aspects of the game that make it so interesting, and if you haven’t done so, you might as well check out the Game Entry Section of the official game website because it will give you a good idea of the overall thrust of the game.
In my opinion, and I hope to be able to back that up with more evidence as I work on it (which is a bit vague right now), the two most important aspects of game design are Fun and Simulations. So, working to provide a fun experience requires you to tap into both elements of this smart game design, and fortunately for RPG Tycoon, there’s little question that it delves into both of these on multiple levels. First, however, let’s look at Simulation.
Simulation
The word “Simulation” can have a lot of different meanings in the realm of game design and I think this is what causes some issues when people talk about it in the context of this game. One way to look at it is that you are simulating or mimicking some or all of the traits of real world businesses but because this game refers to the “real” game (not the real money) and also because you are actually getting the chance to own and manage a business (which is the most important part of the whole thing), then it could be claimed that your RPG Tycoon “simulation” would be better classified as one of Turn Based Strategy. This is because you are actually practicing management techniques and strategies that you’d usually have to learn (sometimes you’d have to teach others or learn from those who have already done it) in the real world in order to be successful as a business owner.
