the sounds you will hear in this wav pack were recorded and produced at atlantis studios in melbourne, by the original drumkit from hell recording team, mattias eklund (toontrack music), fredrik thordendal (meshuggah), daniel bergstrand (dug out studios) and tomas haake (meshuggah).
aimed at metal, progressive, and rock musicians, the progressive foundry includes unique drum kits from the likes of neil peart, mike portnoy, and jason bittner, drummers with a true appreciation for complex music and rhythm, with all samples recorded by the best drummers in the world. from guitars, bass, and keyboard to horns, snare, and fxs, they have left nothing to chance. the purple and green kits offer plenty of high-end kits, while the clean and dirty versions provide a softer sound for parts which don’t require the high-end.
the nature of the progressive foundry could not be more different from drumkit from hell, the artist created a massive drum library of more than 400,000 single hit drum samples, recorded at the singing drum factory in the early 80s. after that, the engineer and producer produced over 30 more kits, but the drummers were not willing to make another 450,000 samples, simply because they didn’t know where to begin. that is where a group of great drummers stepped in to help. together with the toontrack engineering team, the drummers have created kits for metal, metalcore, hard rock, power, progressive, and alternative, all spanning around 300 tracks per kit.
this library contains, six different guitar kits, five bass kits, and several percussion kits. many of the guitar and bass kits include a wide variety of different sounds, and the percussion kits come with all sorts of cymbals, but why stick to these drums and these parts? the sound department is open to the world of your imagination, and therefore they have recorded and sampled over 300 parts with a wide variety of sounds. from true breakbeats to bass, acoustic, layered, rock, smooth, rnb, the possibilities are endless. so let your imagination run wild.
